About Me
The weather is great in Lilville!
Originally from South Florida, my path in life has taken me through Northern Ontario and Vermont before settling down in Knoxville, Tennessee. Along the way, I’ve built both a home and a career rooted in curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
My background in clinical psychology shaped how I approach information: thoughtfully, analytically, and with the learner in mind. During my time lecturing in graduate school, I discovered that what excited me most wasn’t just the content itself, but how it was designed and delivered. That realization led me from teaching and advising into instructional design, where I found the perfect intersection of creativity and purpose.
Today, I design learning experiences that are engaging, accessible, and grounded in adult learning principles. I’m especially drawn to gamification and finding ways to make self-paced learning feel meaningful and motivating.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me exploring creative projects like miniature building and nail art, or spending time with friends around a Dungeons & Dragons table. I’ve also recently taken up sewing– I’ve yet to find a creative outlet that I don’t love!
